Empowering entrepreneurs is our heartbeat! Therefore, Mustard Seed is proud to launch the 21^st Century Woman Entrepreneur competition. This is an opportunity for women owned businesses to pitch their business for a chance to win an amazing mentorship package, R25 000 in cash and R2500 Satrix investing vouchers.

Competition is officially open and the 21^st Century Woman Entrepreneur Pitch Competition closes on Monday 18 August 2025.

Qualifying criteria:

• A female owned or female-led business
• Your business has to be registered with CIPC
• Your business has been operational for at least 6 months
• Innovative or interesting business model in any industry

How to enter and stand a chance to win:

• Register for 21^st Century Woman and purchase your ticket.
• Follow our Instagram and LinkedIn pages @mustardseed.ms
• Create a 1-minute video introducing yourself and your business and summarize a compelling motivation of how the prize will be of significant benefit to your business. Send the video, a link to your social media pages and website to info@mustardseedafrica.co.za and use 21^st Century Woman Pitch 2025 as your email subject line.
• Entries open on Friday, 1st of August 2025 and close on Monday 18th of August 2025.
• The competition judges will review your video and business page on social media, as well as your website link (if you have one) and select 3 of the most impressive businesses. All this information must be included in your email body.
• The three (3) shortlisted businesses will be announced via email and Mustard Seed social media page.
• The three successful shortlisted business owners will pitch their business at the 21st Century Woman event and the winner will be announced at the 21^st Century Woman event.

Competition Terms and Conditions

1. By entering this competition, you accept and agree to the following terms and conditions which will govern the competition. Furthermore, you verify that you are unaware of any reason legally prohibiting you from entering this competition and, if the competition requires the submission of photographs, artworks or images of people, or of anything else that requires consent or copyright, that you have the necessary consent and authority to do so if required. Any entrant who contravenes these rules may be disqualified from the competition.
2. The promoters of this competition are Mustard Seed.
3. The competition will run from the 1st of August 2025 to the 13^th of August 2025. Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, delayed or damaged in transmission. Entries reflected on the promoter’s records will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of successful entries.

7. Send a 1-minute video pitching what your business does and how the prize will be of significant benefit to your business.
8. In your email body, include your 1-minute video attachment, and your business page handle on social media (any social media platform will be accepted), as well as your website link (if you have one).
9. There will be three (3) shortlisted candidates who will be announced on our social media page.
10. All three shortlisted candidates will be expected to pitch their idea liveat the 21^st Century Woman event on Saturday, 23^rd September 2025.
11. Mustard Seed’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The prize is non-negotiable and non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
13. By entering this competition, the entrant consents to Mustard Seed using names and images taken of the winner for publicity purposes, without any further remuneration being payable to the winner. The winner may decline to participate in any promotional activity by notifying Mustard Seed in writing. All promotional material will become the sole property of Mustard Seed.
14. You may not enter this competition if you are a director, member, partner, employee, business associate or consultant of Mustard Seed.
15. Participants in this competition hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless Mustard Seed and their successors, employees, officers, suppliers, contractors, agents, consultants, directors and shareholders from and against any losses, claims, proceedings, actions, damages, liability for harm, injury or death, demands, expenses or any costs howsoever arising out of their participation in this competition or their use of the prizes and/or any person with whom they share that prize.
16. This competition is not in any way affiliated with Instagram or any social media platform.
17. Participants understand and agree that in order to enter the competition, Mustard Seed may need to collect and use personal and/or professional information about the participants.
18. Mustard Seed reserves the right to cancel, modify or amend the competition at any time if deemed necessary in their own opinion or if circumstances arise outside of their control.
