What a phenomenal time we had on Saturday at the Tech Entrepreneurship Summit hosted by Satrix!

Despite the chilly weather entrepreneurs came out in their numbers, the engagement and networking was great as usual!

A big thank you to our event MC Thabo Limema and our stellar line up of speakers who delivered above and beyond.

René Basson walked us through Satrix’ tech journey and we were astounded to hear that Satrix has a total AUM of R160billion managed by a staff complement of only 22 people!

Tim Akinnusi shared various aspects of Mortgage Market’s incredible growth story, he also highlighted a range of setbacks encountered along the way. We were all greatly inspired by the quantum leaps his business has taken since 2020 and we are excited to watch as Mortgage Market expands further.

Lionel Moyal took us through current tech trends and most interestingly revealed the next generation of technology that Microsoft will be rolling out later this year – if you haven’t heard Microsoft Copilot is going to revolutionise the we approach every day work!

After this weekend we are all convinced that tech is not just an industry, service or product, but rather a part of our everyday living!
